Learn About Your Engine

Why do Engine diagnostics need to be performed?

Engine diagnostics keep your engine running efficiently. The OBD-II System can detect problems before they damage your engine or hurt its performance. The OBD (On-Board Diagnostics) platform maintains your vehicle's efficiency and manages emmissions output. These diagnostics will detect problems before your "Check Engine" light illuminates. If your “Check Engine” light stays on, you most likely have a problem with one of the engine systems, and it should be checked. These diagnostics will let you take care of problems early and help you save money. If you ignore your “Check Engine” light, you could be damaging your engine. Also, your vehicle may not pass some state's annual inspection when this light is on.
